Hey there,

I am not a big new year’s resolution gal. Who keeps them anyway? A more practical solution to embracing new energy is to investigate your solar return chart, bringing awareness and support into 2026. As we plug in our birth information (date of birth, time of birth, city/state of birth, and where we are residing in the solar year) the planets (actors) are transited into new houses (sets) adorning their new costumes (signs) shown how to act (modality) and how they share the stage with other planets if present (aspect.)

To give you a better understanding, let’s dive into my Solar Return Chart for 2026. I am going to keep it simple by focusing on my BIG THREE. Let’s see where my Sun, Moon and Rising are placed, which signs, houses, and what other planets are in aspect. In looking at a solar return chart, there is a focus on what key themes one should embrace, how to navigate challenges, what growth opportunities are available, and if any, suggested creative outlets.

♓🌞 My Sun (attention to self) – is in the 9th house (expansion) ruled by Jupiter in Pisces (water sign, mutable energy, intuition, feeling) and shares house space with Mars (passion,) Mercury (communication, siblings,) Venus (personal relationships,) & my North Node (strive toward.) As these planets conjunct (blended energy) they can share unique qualities to spice up my 9th house placement.

With the expansion of this house, my passions, communication, relationships, and my reach to gain experience are magnified with my Sun, my urge to achieve, my self-expression. An aspect that may be helpful - Sun trine (accepting) Jupiter (expansion) in Cancer (ascendent, feels) I am ready to embrace happiness, growth, and meaningful connections.

With my Sun conjunct (blended) with Mercury, I am on track with ideas, situations, and proper placement. Communication is key, and I strive to keep my conversations on time and fully connected. Short trips are on the agenda, and I have a couple in the books as I type!

And my North Node – My vulnerable growth through the past year has brought me to a place of passionate expression. I am willing to take risks and am open to expanding my options. As I lead others to gain confidence and courage, I bring insight and strength to support their hardships.

Some conflicts or struggles with my Sun opposite my Moon, I may experience some home front tension causing peaceful disruption. I will be on the lookout for familial and work-related disapproval, and unnecessary misunderstandings (especially from other women) in what I say or do and will find ways to rationally stay nourished in my well-being, particularly my emotional health. A note of dissatisfaction with my daily routine has been adjusted to include our time in AZ.

♍🌙 My Moon (emotions) is in the 3rd house ruled by Mercury (communication, thoughts) in Virgo (earth sign, mutable energy, relatable, work, service.) Our emotional character depicts how we react to the stimuli around us. Since my moon is in a cadent house or in the background of the chart, there is passive energy where external happenings don’t really bother me because I am busy adapting (mutable energy) and getting ready for things to come my way. My emotional security will crave intellectual engagement where I find contentment in discussions and sharing ideas (collaborations.)

Moon in Virgo – I will be busy working behind the scenes able to stick to a rigid health plan towards continued healing. My focus will be to stay on tasks with details, organization, and take on more responsibilities. Moon in the 3rd House – My communication, learning, and networking are highlighted here. With a lean towards voicing my feelings versus rationalizing them, I hope to experience more depth and understanding around my heart’s desires. I will be on the go with short trips, errands, visits and calls.

Mars (passion, intensity) and North Node (life’s purpose) are opposite my Moon (emotions.) I need to be cognizant of confrontations and times of emotional anger. With my passions being emotionally stimulated, my impulsive nature and drive for new experiences can show up as being impatient or restless.

Staying on course and being able to handle my emotions will continue my growth. This opposition to internal struggle may put hardships in front that need brewing and lessons to handle them before moving forward. Don’t stuff or ignore them, take control, continue to journal, get them out of my body and mind so I can be free to move forward and continue to evolve.

With Uranus (sudden changes) in Taurus (grounded, beauty) in the 11th house (groups, community) square Moon (emotions.) With emotional acceleration, I may take risks, be surprised, and experience things that I thought not possible. Expect the unexpected! I am seeking emotional passion, either on purpose or subconsciously. Being in Taurus (earth sign) there is a practical side to this transit of change; evaluating my social circles, setting realistic goals, and diving into my senses. I am discovering and solidifying my community needs to align my emotional and material needs.

♋⏫ My Ascendent (AC – always the first house, attraction of others to us) is in the sign of Cancer (water sign, cardinal energy, feel, healer, emotional) ruled by the Moon (emotions.) This placement supports easier expressions of authentic feelings. I can be more open to sharing my subconscious desires and bring vulnerability and affection to my relationships. There will be a need to keep my emotional drives in check to avoid intensity, and I can use this energy to help others heal. I feel a softer side to dedicate my expression to fit my mood which is shown through sensitivity and an emotional nature.

With Jupiter in my 1st house of Cancer, the above attributes could be expanded in a good way with my emotions, vulnerability, authenticity, and cultivate ways to help others discover their unique ways of healing.

Some other aspects that are worth noting are:

  • Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Neptune trine my Ascendent (AC) – These accepting energies of communication, relationships, boundaries, and intuition can invite others into my presence to experience health and healing around astrology, tarot and crystal therapy.

  • Uranus (sudden events) sextile my Ascendent (AC) – Another positive connection with sudden happenings 😊 I have an event booked, an email inquiry, practice tarot card readings, and an astrology chart scheduled! Bountiful blessings for a new year!

  • Pluto (transform) in 8th house (intensity) of Aquarius (sudden change) opposite (internal struggle) my Ascendent (AC) – Attention to how I assert myself in personal relationships, establish boundaries if needed, navigate my emotional intensity, and be open to embrace change in order to transform. Growth opportunities are here for deeper understanding of self.

  • Chiron (wounded warrior) in 9th house (expand) in Pisces (feeling) square (conflict) my Ascendent (AC) – There is an awakening to my subconscious strengths, a need to compensate my past wounds, keep my emotions in check, and maintain an optimistic view. Intuition is strong to guide others through their fears and insecurities to support their empowerment and growth even if I am struggling with my own. I will be pushed to address my unhealed wounds (family, parental) to help me learn how to grow beyond my restrictions and continue to thrive.

My entry is only the tip of the solar charting guide. A full session would cover many other details surrounding the key themes, challenges, growth opportunities, and creative outlets using all the planetary placements, and aspects. I would LOVE an opportunity to share your 2026 Solar Return Chart with you! Why not try something new? Opening our hearts and minds to an astrological experience can inspire and empower your guidance into the new year!

In gratitude, much love & light,

Crystal 🤍
