A new moon in Libra. New beginnings; renew your relationships either romantically, platonically, or professionally. A perfect opportunity to create balance, harmony and contentment in your connections with others, and perhaps take on new endeavors. Holding onto cardinal modality energy (initiate, expressive) an elemental air sign (communication, thinker) in the sign of Libra (relatable, cooperative) ... we aren’t afraid to stay in our authentic power, despite what is expected of us.

New moons occur when the sun and the moon meet up at the same point in the zodiac, once a month, announcing the beginning of a new lunar cycle. Without light, this occurrence figuratively nudges us to count on our intuition instead of relying on our external environment to get through the darkness.

Some astrological planet aspects to consider: Jupiter (expansion) and Pluto (transformation) are squaring (conflict) pushing Libra’s vibe of finding true peace with disruption in doing things the usual way. Don’t fret. Stay on course with setting personal intentions and clear goals courageously weaving a path of authenticity to connect with self and the collective.

An assertive conjunction (blended) between Mars (passion) and Mercury (communication) in Scorpio (intensity) brings a steam of energy and motivation to your goals and visions. A time to create your plan and execute with confidence!

Where is your Moon located in your natal chart?

An analogy taken from Chani Nicholas’s book, You Were Born for This, best describes how the energy of the modality, the planets, the signs, and the houses all play together to tell our story. The modality is its job (how to act) the planets are the (actors) the signs are their (costumes) and the houses are the (sets) where we experience our narrative.

Let’s use my Moon placement as an example to see how this energy plays out for me.

My natal moon (a satellite planet - actor) in Gemini (costume of communication) an Air Sign (communication, intellectual) ruled by the planet Mercury (the messenger) has mutable energy (relatable) and lives in its ruler, the 3rd house (thoughts, communication, daily life, siblings, extended family, and interaction with others.)

As a child, I always sought refuge at my great grandmother’s house on weekends where there was a sense of calm and loving attention that was lacking in my familial home base. Growing older, I gravitated towards my friends’ family pod continuing to seek what I was missing at home, emotional support, a notice of self-worth, and acknowledgment of achievement.

🌑 The moon is our body, and it rules our physical and emotional needs. We learn how to best unpack our daily life purpose with great care and consideration when tapping into these requirements.

🌑 The moon influences the way we in which the impressions of our early childhood conditioning have imprinted the patterning of our bodies, instincts, and emotional responses to life. Acting without thinking traces back to early life under our mother’s influence.

🌑 The moon provides feeling nurtured, safe, and secure, and how we express this towards others, and cope with emotional stress in our lives.

In the sign of Gemini, I need to nourish my body through the exchange of communication, creating new ideas, and bonding through my relationships. I am curious, always wanting to learn, to gain more knowledge, feeding my soul’s stimulation as well as that of the collective. I thrive on discovering and sharing information on holistic and spiritual paths to health and healing.

My moon is exceedingly strong in the 3rd house of joy. I have energetic assistance to help me connect with people, ideas, conversations, rituals, and spiritual practices. This offers me a chance to live out my life’s purpose through writing (yes!) teaching, learning, or working with divinatory practices. My daily movement routine is important with teaching, disseminating information, providing care and nourishment to others.

Using our analogy above, the new moon in Libra (costume of sociability) an Air Sign (relationships) ruled by the planet Venus (the lover) has Cardinal energy (initiates) transiting (movement of planets) into my 7th house of Libra (committed partnerships.) This new moon transit trines (supports) my natal moon in Gemini, in the 3rd house at exactly 24 degrees! Energy with this exact aspect is gifting focus on balancing my thoughts and emotions and strengthening my connections with others.

Collectively asking, can you harness this new moon energy through cultivating and nurturing your partnerships, romantic, platonic or professional. How can your self-reflection understanding contribute to your role in relationship dynamics? A time to work on healing relational wounds or cutting ties with negative patterns that are weighing heavy on your body, heart, and soul.

In gratitude, much love & light

Crystal ~
