I am not making this "stuff" up!

I was driving my usual distance of 40 miles one way to my massage appointment (yes, living in the Midwest in a small community sometimes warrants some travel time to your favorite people.) Generally, the speed limit drops and then increases once you do your pass through. In my oblivion and distraction of practicing my vocal cord exercises, I didn’t see him and wasn’t aware of being followed until I finally noticed blue and red lights flashing in my rearview mirror.

I received a hefty gift of a speeding ticket on my way to relax! What are the chances?  Law enforcements are rarely seen in this neck of the woods, so I was unaware of where he was parked using his radar gun. I obviously wasn’t paying attention of my surroundings and literally spaced out in my head and was focusing on my voice.

I will take some credit for this mishap, but maybe some planetary energy transiting around my natal chart influenced this experience?

As a Wellness Astrologer Consultant, I check weekly for planetary transits that revolve around my natal chart. I use transits to guide my daily card drawings to support personal experiences, events, themes, and gain deeper insight into what is happening in my world, and in the collective. Guidance to bring some respite from past happenings, permission to make an executive decision, and protection to live with caution with future predictions.  

I decided to look at current transits for the day of receiving my ticket to see if anything jumps out to indicate my misfortune around traffic and violations.

Having Mars, the planet of action and impulse, as my ruling planet (Aries is my rising sign and Mars rules Aries) could have influenced my unexpected encounter with law enforcement. Concentrating on staying relaxed, listening to my zin yoga play list, and being proactive with vocal cord exercises, led to not paying attention with lack of focus on my current surroundings.

Update: At the time of my ticketing, Mars was in Taurus in my 2^nd house 26 degrees, moving towards Gemini in my 3^rd house getting closer to Uranus to form a tighter conjunction (blending of energy with drive/aggression with sudden change.)

Uranus known for its disruption and chaos, in the sign of Gemini, is in my 3^rd house. Ruled by Mercury (communication) my tendency (noted above) led to multitasking that distracted me from this driving practice of obeying a speed limit change. And being in the 3^rd house, there is an emphasis on local community and I kid you not, traffic violations.
