May 1st brings our Flower Full Moon in Scorpio and a new Tarot card energy – Four of Pentacles. An abundance of emotional intensity is saturating our inner worlds. Are you experiencing an invigorating moodiness or a rising energy of restlessness? Scorpio is traditionally ruled and energetically fed by Mars (drive, ambition) and more modern, Pluto (transformation) saturating this water sign of deep emotions, intuition, intelligence and sensitivity.
Time to get real folks.
Look into your cosmic mirror and see your shadow self. Let’s reveal hidden truths, maybe the reality of a situation, and by doing so, provide an opportunity to revamp and reinvent the self. This Full Moon brings energy needed to change with a positive momentum.
Our intuition is strong; we need to listen to what it is trying to tell us. Don’t try to hide because whatever is there will come up and will need your utmost attention. Staying present, feeling our emotions, and not analyzing them will bring an observation of honesty and compassion into the transformation process. This natural pace will bring a deeper awareness of trust, vulnerability, attachment and empowerment, releasing something that has been stuffed down or ignored.
Our Tarot Card for May, Four of Pentacles, signifies the physical of life, an earth element, grounding, practicality, stability, security, material obsession, and holding on tightly to rigid mindsets. Starting the month off with a combination of Full Moon energy in Scorpio, there is an illuminating need to release control, fear of scarcity, toxic attachments, particularly around money or emotional security. Create a wise balance between managing resources and not let fear rule your decisions. Get rid of old burdens and convert deep-rooted insecurities into power.
Releasing past issues or experiences of stagnant and stifling energy can indeed support your health and healing. Trust me, I know. Spiritually, are you holding onto fear, regret or negativity, closing off your heart to others or focusing too much on materialism?
As we move through the month of May, a new moon in Taurus (stability, security) and another full moon at the end of the month in Sagittarius (adventure in emotional expression) may shift our monthly Four of Pentacles energy. Taurus comes mid-month with the emotional stability and needed security after our intense work with the Scorpio Full Moon, and the Sagittarius Full Moon ending the month of May opens exploration in new emotional expression (whatever that is for you.)
Some ideas or actions to take in supporting our current intense transition. Reiki, meditation, shadow work, or some form of energy healing, talking to a friend, or a professional counselor may help release these energies. Some creative outlets to manage this intense energy: writing, art, music, dancing, sports, outdoor activities …
I am taking a creative outlet with refurbished framing of my old calendar images, and making magnet quotes!
Crystals to support the Four of Pentacles (control, stability) and the Scorpio Full Moon (intensity, transformation, emotional release), use grounding stones. These help release control while providing stability.
Obsidian: For Scorpio intensity and shadow work and supports the breakdown of fear-based control of the Four of Pentacles.
Black Tourmaline: Brings deep grounding and mental clarity to protect emotional boundaries while letting go of toxic attachments.
Smoky Quartz: Grounding while releasing the fear of scarcity (Four of Pentacles,) giving you the space to let go of what is no longer needed.
Malachite: Supports deep emotional transformation, helping to break stubborn habits and rigid controlling behaviors.
Citrine: Welcoming abundance and joy to replace the "lack" mentality.
Red Jasper: Internal strength and endurance, assisting you to stand in your power without needing to tightly control every outcome.
How to Use Them:
During this full moon, consider writing down what you are clinging to (4 of Pentacles) and burning or releasing that list while holding (if you have them) Obsidian or Black Tourmaline to safely process the transformation.
And some journal prompts to work with:
What am I afraid to release because it once protected me?
What truth have I been avoiding, and why?
What version of me is trying to emerge through this discomfort?
How can I create more emotional safety for myself?
What does my next evolution look like?
What aspects of myself am I afraid to look at?
In gratitude, much love & light,
Crystal ~ 🤍
