Hello there & Happy Aries Season!

I grew up reading my sun sign horoscope in the newspaper, and/or my favorite teen and later adult women magazines. A guide if you will for self-discovery, a road map to love, career, and personal growth. Celebrity crushes of compatibility. The content intrigued me and I wholeheartedly followed my Piscean “core” advice to lead my daily and monthly existence without flaw.

I dabbled here and there through out the years with a strong attempt to do a college English paper (in the 80s) on the study of charting and planets. At the time, there wasn’t a vast amount of research written to access resources, so I let it go (for now) and pursued another topic to complete my assignment.

During my first breast cancer experience, I had to STOP, and be present with my discovery, ultrasound, biopsy, diagnosis, surgery, and treatment plan. Once my cancer markers were normal and I was “cancer free,” I began searching for something more to feed my soul, to bring meaning to why, of all people, did I get breast cancer.

Driven and determined, I found a business coach to find and cultivate my purpose, my needs, my wants, and how this revelation could support other women struggling with illness. In my search for something more, I began to seek more spiritual and emotional meaning behind my cancer diagnosis. In this endeavor, I let many things and activities go that were no longer serving me, bringing a lighter load of responsibility and a breath of fresh air into my existence. I have and am still learning to love and speak from the heart, be vulnerable in sharing my stories, and stop externally grasping for happiness.

Astrology found me again. And it is all about falling in love with yourself.

Well-renowned astrologers were offering online courses with layers and depth behind reading charts. I began to nourish myself with knowledge and understanding to bring more insight into my little “sun sign” world. Learning that I am an Aries Rising has given me a whole new perspective on ME. And with the start of Aries Season, I felt compelled to share some similarities.

Our Rising Sign or AC/Ascendent (noted on your chart with birth date, time of birth, and place of birth) is where the sun was rising over the horizon the exact time you were born. Our entire birth chart is oriented around our rising sign. Our 1st house of Self, the position where your birth chart begins, and determines where the other signs and houses follow.

This place of SELF is how others perceive us, first impressions, appearance, attitude, natural reactions and defenses. The door to our personality. If there has been confusion how people perceive you differently than how you see yourself, this is because what others see can be governed by Rising sign qualities rather than the Sun sign qualities you understand yourself to possess. The importance behind knowing your Rising sign is to embrace its qualities, good or bad, and cultivate guidance on how to live authentically with what you are given.

Aries (the doer) “rams” with the element of fire (initiation & intuition) is ruled by the planet Mars (passion & action) and has cardinal energy (intuitive, impulsive, spontaneity.)

I AM (mantra for Aries Rising & Sun signs)

When in high vibration: willful, direct, honest, bold, courageous, blazing new pathways, a leader, energetic, strong, ambitious, expanding & seeking new experiences & opportunities.

When in low vibration: quick to anger, frustration, competitive, impatient, stressed, full of tension, dominating, difficulty starting or finishing projects or tasks on to do lists.

I honestly used to live in a low vibration place before my breast cancer journeys, and discovering my Rising sign, and have taken active steps to move into the higher vibration attributes of an Aries.

Our Rising sign energies can be influenced by other chart factors as well; planets in the sign, are they in aspect with other planets in other houses, etc. And where is the ruling planet of the Rising sign.

Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, and mine is placed in the 5th house of Leo. More fire, more competition, need for recognition, and willingness to lead. Better than art thou is the motto here, and unless I temper this attitude with realism and compassion, I may burn to the ground. I am learning to use my passion for a higher will in hopes of change with light and meaning.

Medically speaking: The first house dominates overall health and vitality. Aries rules the head, skull and face, adrenal glands, the upper jaw/teeth, digestion, body temperature, immune system, heat and light, febrile mechanism and co-rules the iron in the blood with Mars, transformation & sight, physical & psychological, internal combustion, and rules the acid/alkaline balance of body with Libra.

In Tarot: The Emperor card brings authority, leadership and focus. The start of Spring season invites the element of Cups – emotions and intuition.

Aries Season Crystals: I have included 4 distinct crystals in my image to emulate Aries energy. Red Jasper – uplifting, empowering yet energetically calming.  Citrine – manifestation, creativity, abundance, recognition. Carnelian – courage, confidence, joy, happiness, passion, motivation. Aquamarine – soothing energy promoting self-expression, taming Aries fiery tendencies.

Some action steps to live in your Aries Rising, Sun Sign, and Season.

1.      Daily movement – to keep disease and disharmony away from the body.

2.      Strong dehydration tendencies – water, fats, and electrolytes are needed.

3.      Brain health – healthy fats, cold-pressed organic oils

4.      Headaches are common – body imbalance, too little Vitamin A, D, or E, dehydration,  and kidney health.

5.      Sleeping issues – need a good night sleeping routine

Mantra - I do more than live life. I celebrate it.

In gratitude, much love & light

Crystal - 🤍
